One heated infinity pool, eight rooms, and the Geisler peaks doing the rest: the pool hangs over the Funes valley on the farm's lowest terrace, kept at 29°C year-round, and on a clear winter morning you will have it entirely to yourself with snow on the railings.
This is a working farm, so the experience around the water is simple by design: a small sauna hut, a stack of proper wool blankets, and loungers that face the mountains rather than each other. Not for everyone: there is no bar service and no music, which is exactly the point.
Eight rooms in a converted hay barn on a dairy farm above the Funes valley, run by the third generation of the same family. Breakfast is the farm's own: milk, yoghurt, eggs, and bread from the village bakery, eaten at a shared table with a window full of Geisler peaks.
Rooms are pine-panelled and quiet, with no televisions on purpose. The ski areas at Plose and Val Gardena are both around 25 minutes by car, which makes this the slow-morning alternative to staying slope-side: swim first, ski second. Worth knowing: a car is genuinely necessary here, and the farm road is steep enough to want winter tyres.
The 25-metre indoor pool sits behind floor-to-ceiling glass facing the Odle peaks, kept at 30°C from the first snow to the last. Underwater loungers run along the north wall, and morning lap lanes stay roped off until 10am, so early swimmers get clear water.
The outdoor infinity pool points straight at the Sciliar massif, and at 32°C it is the warmest open-air water in the valley: steam rises off the surface all winter while the edge seems to drop into the meadows below. It stays open every day of the year, snowfall included.
