A long outdoor pool runs the length of the sun terrace, finished with an infinity edge and a shallow end for easing in. Pale stone decking and glass balustrades frame it, the garden lawns run alongside, and the upper balconies look straight down onto the water. There's a kids' pool too, so younger swimmers have their own patch.

Loungers and parasols line the deck, pool towels are provided, and the pool is open from 08:00 to 21:00. Breakfast is the part guests rave about, and the covered terrace beside the water makes it easy to drift from coffee to the first swim. Telonio Beach is a short walk from Kallistefan, a small, modern hotel in Kissamos on the northwest coast of Crete. The town's stadium and Archaeological Museum are close by. Chania airport is about 50 km away, and the hotel offers an airport shuttle.
